Destiny 2 is the second game in Bungie's post- Halo take on the first person shooter FPS massively multiplayer MMO genre that takes place in a dark future populated by vicious aliens and heroic guardians. While it isn't a true MMO, Destiny 2 does team you up with, and pit you against, players from all over the world, so you need every edge you can get.
We've compiled all the Destiny 2 codes, unlocks, exploits, and everything else you'll need to help drive your power level into the stratosphere. Destiny 2 codes are released through a variety of sources, and they can be entered at Bungie. These codes are sometimes available for free, but there are also single-use codes that can only be received from limited time tie-in promotions. Bungie has partnered with companies like Kellogg and Rock Star to offer codes to people who purchase pop tarts and Rock Star energy drinks.
To take advantage of these codes, you have to keep an eye out for limited time promotions in your area. Most of the weapons in Destiny 2 are obtained at random from engrams, which you get from doing all sorts of content. Chests can contain engrams, they can drop from enemies, and you get the most powerful ones by completing milestones each week. By playing regularly, you'll eventually get great new weapons on a randomized basis. Gear is the most visible way to make a statement in Destiny 2 but emblems are the best way to show off your accomplishments.
Most emblems are unlocked by completing content, so throwing up your favorite one is the best way to show everyone exactly where you've been, what you've done, and how many aliens you killed along the way. Chests drop from all sorts of content, including public events, Lost Sectors, and even treasure maps you can buy from Cayde These chests are totally random, and you'll run into a ton of them just playing the game. However, there are a handful of chests that you can unlock by performing very specific actions, in a very specific order, in a very specific location.
Here's how to unlock them. In the area immediately before the last boss, your fire team will need to pass through six rings on the way down to a safe platform. If all six are activated, you will unlock a hidden chest. You're likely to be in such a hurry that you'll pass this one right by on your first time through the Forsaken story, so we'll walk you through the process of finding it.
The best way to get loot in Destiny 2 is to actually play the game, but it's also possible to exploit loot chest respawns to get free gear with zero effort. This isn't exactly the fastest way to boost your power level, but it is very easy to do passively while watching Netflixplaying a different game, or when you're tied up with any other activity you can afford to interrupt every few minutes.
This exploit works based on the fact that chests respawn after you open them. The basic idea is to locate a chest in a relatively safe and enclosed area, open it, and wait for it to respawn. A good option for this exploit is to go to the landing zone by the Exodus Black and locate a narrow canyon. The canyon leads to a cave that contains some enemies and a teleporter.
Eradicate the enemies in the cave, open the chest, and wait about three minutes. The chest will respawn somewhere in the cave, and you can open it again.
The enemies will not respawn, so it's safe to just sit back, wait, and open the chest as many times as you want. Turn in the planetary tokens you get from repeatedly opening the chest, and you'll get free gear. Walking around on your own feet can get incredibly tiresome, so you're probably wondering how to get your first Sparrow. And it can get pretty lonely out there in the wilderness, so where are the social spaces?
If you're wondering how to unlock this kind of content in Destiny 2 we've got you covered. Since Destiny 2 is an MMO-lite, there aren't any real cheats like speed boosts that you can use, at least not without the risk of getting banned. There are ways to get speed boosts in the social spaces though, and unlocking them involves some fun little mini-games. Once you hit level 20 and start on the endgame, the best way to get powerful gear is to complete your weekly milestones.

The Confrontation. Unless you're stuck, I'd recommend playing the game at least once on your own, as you will need to play the game almost fully twice to unlock all the achievements anyway due to two exclusive achievements you're guaranteed to unlock one on your first playthrough, you can't miss both. This also gives you another chance to unlock any achievements you missed on your first run.
I will present the individual achievement guides alongside the walkthrough at the most appropriate in most cases the earliest point to unlock them. While I describe the location of all the notes necessary to unlock Diag-Gnostic in the walkthrough, there's a collected list with screenshots in the appendix for easier reference.
For faster access, here's a table of contents for the individual achievements. Validated Fallen. As well as the above, a quality of life patch is also tweaking and amending other aspects of the game, even if you aren't purchasing the expansion. Described as a "all-new cinematic story with new and returning characters" by Activision, the expansion sees female Ghost Sagira voiced by Firefly and Homeland's Morena Baccarin separated from Osiris.
Ikora - of which Osiris was her mentor - will have a big focus in the expansion, as well as the Vex, who have been up to something throughout time and space.
Maybe we'll find out what. Described as "a simulated reality in the middle of time, controlled by the Vex", this new area is where players will be exploring as part of the storyline and several post-story Adventures, as well as Mercury as a Patrol space and small social space. The Infinite Forest in particular is a shifting location which will be explored in greater detail through Adventures, with defined start and end points and a random assortment of "intelligently designed" sections in the middle, each featuring a different enemy race and themed setting.
Mercury was a destination in the first Destiny, as part of Trials of Osiris social space the Lighthouse, which is a small area in the Mercury Patrol space.
It's here you can collect the Lighthouse secret chest and unlock Lost Prophecy Verses. There are three Adventures and two Strikes - first introduced as story missions in the DLC, then added to the playlist - topping up the handful available in the main game, including the return of a Heroic Strike Playlist. Once the story is over, you'll have access to 11 quests named 'Lost Prophecies'.
These are mini-quests that require you to collect drops as you play certain activities, such as Public Events and Heroic Adventures. Once you have fulfilled them, you then return to an altar in the Lighthouse social space, turning them in to receive Vex-themed weapons.
Bungie will add additional locations to the Leviathan Raid as part of a new feature known as a 'Raid Lair'. The 'Eater of Worlds' activity will have new areas, puzzles, a new boss fight and a higher level requirement of It won't be as long as the existing Raid, but it will have its own rewards, including guns, armour and cosmetics. Though it will be set on new parts of the Leviathan, it'll be a separate option on the Director. Bungie added there will be a second Raid Lair for the game's second expansion - also set on the Leviathan - sometime next year.
A tantalising addition is new Raid content, but what this means exactly is unknown. It could be anything from a new Raid - which is possible, if the original's The Dark Below expansion is anything to by - or a remix or addition to the current Leviathan Raid.
As with other platform-exclusive content, expect it to arrive on other platforms eventually - though not anytime soon.
The expansion will raise the Destiny 2 level cap, from character level 20 to 25, and the Power Level to or with mods. What exact activities will take you there is unknown, but it'll likely be from the same 'powerful gear' Engram activities we've seen so far. Inwe've seen several new additions - from the Empyrean Foundation taking us up to new Season of the Worthy Exoticsnew Powerful and Pinnacle Gear and new ways to earn it.
Earlier in the year, we've seen the recent arrival of the Garden of Salvation raid challengesand elsewhere in Year 3 Armor 2. There are also several new weapon quests, including the Deathbringer questDivinity questLeviathan's Breath quest and Xenophage quest.
The Trials of Osiris have also returned. We also have a list of our best Destiny 2 weapons recommendations, which includes Jotunn and Le Monarque. This first installment was rooted in classic side-scrolling video gameplay. It did a lot of really clever things with level structure, which were super cool when we got them.
This was an unusual game that derived its charm from merging more traditional Unlock!

Pursuit of the White Rabbit was Unlock! Like Unlock! The game focused on exploring Through the Looking Glass logic, which was a fun mindset to settle into. It was plenty puzzley, but the logic was warped by the subject matter. I liked the Unlock! All of the games played about the same for me, solidly without being amazing.
Each had some fantastic moments born out of the subject matter. Each had some intense logic leaps that felt under-clued. These games kept some of the biggest problems with the Unlock! Also, the hidden number system has become so incredibly tired. The gameplay was solid, the stories were diverse, and the challenges reflected the narratives. Sucked into an arcade cabinet, we needed to defeat the final boss before we triggered a game over. Sherlock Holmes was on another unusual case.
All Unlock! I explained this structure in detail in my original Unlock! This improved later in the game, but it made for a bumpy start. As nifty a reveal as it was, the setup led to some frustration, and will be especially confounding for those not familiar with the callback. We met characters to observe and interrogate, just as the famous consulting detective would.
We enjoyed this twist in gameplay. Observation became more interesting when it was extended beyond looking for hidden numbers. It was contextual, which led to satisfying solves. They also introduced additional physical components that gave us more tangible solving opportunities, which we enjoyed. For the most part, we did, but additional cluing would help when they change things up. Additional cluing would help this segment play more smoothly and make more sense. Buy your copy of Unlock!

There are graphics, contextual leads and other fun artsy things to look for based on the solution to the puzzle.
Absolutely refreshing and uses a different part of your brain than reverse engineering numbers. I need to do this. Would this work? This game, while you still end up in the same epiphany, the actual execution, surprise, and result of it is absolutely delightful. In this instance, you begin to look forward to the upcoming puzzles because you wonder what odd things await you. In addition to the lore, the app does have elements of audio and augmented reality that make it even more immersive and surprising.
In which case, while I normally dislike major leaps of faith, being able to interpret your experience in a fantastical way is great. The one thing I have appreciated so far in the series is the art is appropriate for the theme of the escape. The illustrations in this installment are reminiscent of reading a storybook and keeps you in the world of this beloved story.
Even the way that the objects have texture look like they were printed on paperback. It was so difficult to understand that I had to go online and see if anyone had any idea of how to approach it. The hint system for Unlock! What the game requires you to do gives away a lot to anyone you will pass it along to, which is a major downside.
Along these same lines, I had to find interpretations from other players to figure this out. I typically try and do these puzzles on my own, and not even my friend could help me see what I needed to see. In fact, usually I see something but in this perspective puzzle I saw literally nothing. Listen, puzzles are logical. They should be, at least. Some puzzles require you to just sift through the cards and note pieces of information from them.
It is not at all satisfying or clever in any way.
Some combinations caught me by surprise, and forced me to use a hint.If you have played any investigatory games, logistics is a major part of the whodunit. They are not explicitly alibis, mainly because if you can reverse engineer their story in a way that would work out with them as the killer, what they thought was an alibi was actually a confession!
They have a machine in this game that takes inputs and provides a way for you to change locations. With the help of well-done art and a little bit of visual pushing the game encourages you to think about evidence. For example, if you see something standing out, you wonder whether that should be something to look into further or not. Admittedly I did use maybe one hint on figuring out what combinations of tools existed but for the most part it was very intuitive and satisfying.

Destiny 2 Cheats, Codes, Unlocks and Walkthroughs
There are puzzles in here where you take information from other sources, put them together and draw conclusions. Very reminiscent of one of my favorite installments of the Exit games. It is illustrated well, in such a way where you cannot misconstrue or misinterpret something.
Just like a true detective, you get to interrogate suspects in this! When perusing through crime scenes, you also need to listen — well, in this case read — very carefully about what the suspects say. Some solutions and combinations in this game, like it seems most puzzle games trend these days, require you to just give it a shot.
Sometimes it fails, for reasons and then sometimes it works for the exact same contextual reasons you tried for the moment you had failed before. You may have wiggle room to poke around the information in front of you, but a specific puzzle in this game forces you to get to the point.
How does it force you, you say? It penalizes you for going down rabbit holes. Then, when I finally got on the same page with the game the solution sent me to Groan Town. As with every murder, there is a motive.
In this game, the motive is thrown together haphazardly. As usual, this installment of Unlock! Some instances in this game allowed you to do this without penalty, while others were severely strict. Top Ten Pocket Games.The rewards are pretty meagre, so once you've finished the crafted weapons there's not much reason to do them except as a solo challenge.
While these adventures aren't complex enough to warrant a full strategy guide, there are some tips that make things easier. Each adventure starts with a run through the Infinite Forest. As in the story missions, some of the gates are blocked by orange-bar daemons that must be killed. Unlike the story missions, these daemons are tough.
If you're confronted by Phalanx daemons, grab a snack, it's going to be a while. Skyburner's Oath helps a little. They're started by talking to Brother Vance in the lighthouse on Mercury. There's some weirdness where they will appear as "already active", and characters can get locked into doing one specific adventure. This has been an issue since they were first introduced. You may be able to reset them by running each character through to clear the adventure flag, then not even looking at Mercury for a few days.
Because of this, it's helpful to decide ahead of time which character will do which adventure. The chest at the end will give you some mild rewards blue armor, a couple of shaders, 4 Mercury tokens, glimmer, XP, and maybe a legendary engram. You don't get any Clan XP either way. The goal of a solo run is to secure the Glimmering Chest, not because the rewards are so much better, but because the whole point is to have a challenge to overcome.
If you return to orbit before opening the chest, even after killing the boss, the mission is not considered complete, and you will be able to run it again.
The missions have a set of modifiers that are similar to what you had in the old Nightfall missions, minus the time limit. My thanks to this page for collecting most of them. It appears that only certain combinations are allowed.
Each mission has different variants, selected at random every time you start. The first thing to do is play through each adventure a few times, ignoring the Glimmering Chest bonus. There's no hard timer, so you can always finish them given time. Get to know what the different modifiers feel like. If the second modifier is Elementalist, pick any class with Pulse, Void, or Thermite grenades and go nuts. Torrent-grade grenade spam makes everything much easier.
The easiest adventure is The Up and Up. You have to clear familiar enemies quickly and then beat up a boss.
